Customer Description
  • It is the largest hospital in Korea equipped with world-class medical staff and state-of-the-art medical equipment.
  • This hospital succeeded in Korea's first kidney transplantation and corneal transplantation. It is a hospital specializing in the treatment of serious diseases such as cancer, heart, brain, and rare incurable diseases.
Customer Objectives
  • Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, there is a need for a kiosk for self-assessement kiosk for visitors to the hospital.
  • Kiosks should be placed at the entrance of the hospital, but should not take up much space and should be easy to move and manage.
  • The touch screen should work smoothly so that all questionnaire items can be filled out with just a touch of the kiosk.
Challenges
  • Since there are visitors of different ages, an easy-to-use touch input interface should be configured on a wide screen.
  • Multiple kiosks should be installed at the entrance of the hospital, but should not obstruct the flow of hospital administrators and visitors.
  • The process of creating a questionnaire using a touch input method on the kiosk should be more convenient and easier than writing a handwritten questionnaire.
Solutions
  • 27” wide screen and Full HD wide display are adopted for easy access to the questionnaire, and the interface screen is easy to read.
  • In a slim and sophisticated design, the white color BIGPOS products are arranged in a line to match the installation at the entrance of the hospital.
  • The PCAP touch module was applied to the kiosk display so that various questions can be entered easily and conveniently.
Results and Benefits
  • Users were very satisfied with filling out the questionnaire using the digitized kiosk with a full HD wide screen, and the fatigue of hospital staff from simple response tasks related to filling out the questionnaire was also reduced.
  • By arranging several kiosks in a row, the flow of customers was neatly arranged.
