Customer Description
  • A leader in neighborhood supermarkets in Buenos Aires, Argentina, the largest franchise in Spain for food distribution and fourth in Europe.
  • Currently, there are 904 stores in the Argentine network, as well as franchises in Brazil, Spain and Portugal.
Customer Objectives
  • Through a project to introduce new equipment in the franchise supermarket, they wanted to operate the store efficiently.
  • POS performance must be more improved when building a system to pay for a variety of products from numerous buyers.
  • The POS system built to operate the various payment environments of large stores must be stable, and maintenance must be simple and convenient.
Challenges
  • We need to find a high-performance CPU specification that can process large amounts of payments several times every day.
  • Barcodes must be read quickly and accurately during the product counting process, and both card and cash payments must be processed.
Solutions
  • The most widely used and stable APEXA G model was applied, and Intel high-performance processor was adopted.
  • Multiple ports are provided on the rear side so that 2D barcode reader, MSR, money box, etc. can be applied in various ways.
