  • 2022.03.25
Customer Description
  • In 2014, it launched a coffee brand in Korea and started to open franchises, and currently operates 1,300 stores.
  • It operates a roasting plant that produces up to 80 tons per month through excellent production technology.
Customer Objectives
  • They plan to install non-face-to-face system kiosks at each store for in-store coffee orders and efficiently operate stores and manpower.
  • With the self-ordering system kiosk, they want to increase worker satisfaction and reduce waiting time for customers.
  • Due to the nature of the store, coffee-related products must be provided, so the kiosk should not occupy a lot of space in the store.
Challenges
  • A kiosk with an optimal solution must be provided so that the function of the waiting list and the processing of various products can be performed smoothly.
  • In order to increase customer turnover during busy hours, the system should not be overloaded during several payment processes.
  • There should be flexibility to apply different installation methods to suit the store atmosphere.
Solutions
  • Intel's high-performance CPU was used to select various products and options, quickly process orders from many customers, and make the payment process smooth.
  • By adopting a drop-in paper type printer, maintenance is simplified so that the printer paper can be easily replaced.
  • According to the atmosphere and environment of the store, it was installed in various ways, such as stand-type/tabletop type/wall-mounted type, to maximize space utilization.
Results and Benefits
  • The satisfaction of using the kiosk was high for both workers and customers because workers did not have to wait for customers to order while they were making drinks.
